For the people working with window film

WindowFilm.org is an independent educational publication for installers, suppliers, specifiers and people starting or running a window-film business. It helps readers find trade resources, prepare job and callback information, and read the supporting technical evidence.

The aim is to make the next task easier to carry out, with a clear boundary around what the sources establish. It is not a standards body, trade association, regulator, testing laboratory or product-certification service. A citation does not imply affiliation or endorsement.

How this first edition was prepared

The original explanations were prepared with AI assistance and checked against the primary sources linked on each page. Source checks and editorial review can still miss an error or later change. No licensed engineer or installation trainer has certified these references.

Dates labeled “checked” describe our source review. They do not mean the underlying document was published that day or remains current indefinitely. Historical material is labeled and used only for the reading feature described.

Standards entries summarize public scope and status information. Full standards, test procedures, manufacturer instructions and project-specific assessments remain with their issuers or appropriate professionals.

A useful foundation, with clear limits

This edition contains practical trade checklists, selected supplier and training links, three technical-reading references and an official-source library. It is not an exhaustive catalog of products, suppliers, tools or training. It does not provide installation instructions, project specifications, legal opinions, safety assurances or product recommendations.

Supplier-directory and manufacturer links are included for discovery and document-reading purposes. There are no affiliate links or advertisements in this edition.

Read without creating an account

This is a static reading resource. There are no forms, uploads, quote requests, lead sales, mailing-list subscriptions, accounts or advertising trackers. The resource library uses a small script to filter entries on your device. The training list checks dates on your device to hide completed occurrences. It does not send or save those checks. Filter choices are not sent or saved; the filters do not set application cookies or use browser storage. Optional analytics preferences are described below.

The hosting provider may process ordinary request information to deliver the site. Following an external link takes you to that publisher’s site, where its own privacy practices apply. Your notes and any browser-printed copies remain under your control.
